This course is ideal for people who have responsibility for taking groups of people on outdoor activities, overseeing outdoor events on-island, or taking groups off-island.

Course content

Attending this course, you will learn how to deal with conditions specific to leisure and sporting activities in both indoor and outdoor environments. You will also undertake practical work in the outdoor environment.

Course duration
2 days 9am - 5pm

What you get on this course

A pack containing everything you need for training, pen, note pad, training bandage, resuscitation aid and a first aid manual.

Assessment
Written assessment and continuous observation by the trainer

Certification
Successful candidates receive a St John Ambulance Outdoor Activity First Aid certificate, valid for three years.

Emergency first aid at work certificate, valid for three years.

Anaphylaxis Certificate, valid for three years.

Associate Membership Insurance. We provide ‘Good Samaritan’ insurance cover free of charge for peace of mind.
